Darkness lingers in the heart of this ex-Scarlet. He’s a cantankerous ley walker who carries chains of his past wherever he wanders. Laurie will never be rid of the blood on his hands, so he might as well get a bit more on his cassock with the time he has left.

With my final breath, I heard the Light's song. It promised me power to lead an army and defeat the darkness.

Gnostic

This oath breaker abandoned the tenants of his faith long ago. Considered a heretic within the church, Laurie walks the lonely path of Gnosticism. He seeks the hidden knowledge of the world and preaches that each of us have the capability to become a god by distancing oneself from the material plane and being good to each other.

Mapmaker

Laurie has dedicated a significant portion of his life to better understand the ley lines of Azeroth. A devoted cartographer, he has travelled to far away lands to catalog and create exquisite maps used by some of the world’s most revered archmages. This skill carries over into his passion for illuminated manuscripts, spending countless hours hunched over a drafting table.

Ex-Scarlet Crusader

Once the charismatic battlemage commander to a Scarlet brigade; Laurie is the son of esteemed High Inquisitor Lawrence Starling Sr., former mayor of Eastport (east of Southshore). The High Inquisitor is well-known for his work in growing the Crusade under General Abbendis and his later triumphs New Hearthglen.

Healer

He remains ordained by the Church of the Holy Light, even though his relationship with his fellows is tenuous at best. With this connection, Laurie’s able to travel broadly and go on missions to heal in impoverished villages. He’s most often in Westfall, assisting the Breadbasket Guild.
